Better than nothing

February 2, 2010 Leave a comment

After waking up at like 5AM from the immense heat. Something insisted on playing guitar this morning so right up until I’m typing this I spent 2 hours listening to a song and learning it. Lol. (with the help of occasional tabs, somethings weren’t there or something was off. but whatever the case. I learned it on this abomination of an acoustic guitar)

It’s been a long time since the veins in my arms were just out like this. The last time I remember was being at school and resting my arms on my legs with my hands up and having a friend comment, “Woah, those don’t seem like they’re all veins o_o I’ve never seen someones arms get like that” I was like lol or something. Who knows.

Just shows how much I don’t lift and do things. (lazy)

Anyway, I learned “Streets of Nowhere” by Lostprophets. It was a simple song. But it’s so fucking catchy. I was thinking of making a video, but I suck so. Even if I do, I’d probably hide it away so people can’t see it and hide my embarrassment.

Off in the distance I hear sirens from police cars and horns from ambulances and firetrucks. I mean I know there’s a firehouse nearby, but there’s just a lot of them. I wonder what’s going on..

It seems like today is going to be slow. =/

Music Playlist: October 09

October 13, 2009 Leave a comment

Since May I have been making monthly music playlists. Consisting of a random number of 27 songs per playlist. If a big album release or something comes out in the beginning and or middle, I usually wait for that. Otherwise it’s right at the beginning of the month. But here’s a screenshot of what I’m going to currently be jamming to this month. The whole point of the playlist is to widen my taste and listen to stuff I enjoy at the same time.

My iTunes contains 11828 songs, while my iPod has 8497 songs. Only because there are a bunch of random artists that my friends decided to put on my computer, and I won’t be listening to them anytime soon. The majority of my iPod is what I will most likely listen to, or will eventually get around to it.

This playlist I worked pretty hard on, by song intensities. I started out pretty powerful. I make it die down. Make it seems likes it’s still fighting, come back with a different kind of intensity, drive it farther with it starting to die, but keeps strong.

I had fun with it.

The third track on the CD is most likely the album version as it is about 4 minutes long.

Songs

“It’s Not The End Of The World But I Can See It From Here” is a catchy song with awesome riffs, rememerable chorus, intense bridge with a suprising solo, all shoved into a roughly four minute song. Taking elements from their past albums. Not as heavy as some of their past songs, which seems to be what everyone wants or interprets from “darker”. Darker refers to moreso the lyrical stance of the songs rather the rest.

“AC Ricochet” is the B-Side to “It’s Not The End Of The World But I Can See It From Here”. A surprisngly addicting song. Although it has the same chord progression throughout a good amount of the song. The synth/piano adds a nice little touch to it. The Vocals are probably the best part to the song. Another wonderful chorus.

Overall the songs are quite addicting.
